Reporting live from #SXSW! Want to see something scary? This is what my calendar looks like this week:
I will obviously not be attending all of these events—I’ll be lucky if I attend 3% of them—but this is my first SXSW with a badge and I’m trying to make the most of it.
Speaking of being a badge holder, I am moderating a SXSW panel tomorrow, Wednesday, March 15, called Unforgettable Experiences for Today’s Luxe Travelers, and one of my guests is none other than Below Deck’s Captain Sandy! If you’re in town, join us at 11:30am at the Austin Convention Center in room 8ABC!

What I’m reading
Parting ways with love by Alex Elle. The last couple of years has been a lot of work on letting go with grace for me.
One year of facing fear by Tatiana Gallardo. If only I had had this kind of self-alignment in my 20s! I also love her photo essay, “Dear Mom.”
A blog post is a search query to find your people by Austin Kleon. My newsletter actually gave me my entire circle of friends here in Austin, so I know this is true.
The honeymoon hasn’t ended by Roxane Gay. A reminder that joyful, healthy partnership is possible.
Reading 52 books in 52 weeks, year 9 by Nicole Zhu. I adore Nicole’s yearly data-led reading wrapups!
If New York is so great, why isn’t there anywhere to pee? by Theodora Siegel. A question I’ve been asking for a decade!!!
Listen to this gorgeous discourse on being in nature and writing what you see with the late poet Mary Oliver:
Questionable self-care advice
Support system
Vision board
It’s bluebonnets season here in Texas, and spring has fully sprung.
Obsessions
100 things about writing a novel by Alexander Chee
