Yesterday, I asked the internet what everyone’s most looking forward to doing/seeing/experiencing once quarantine is over. There were definitely themes: experiencing human touch, enjoying nature and spring, eating and drinking out, physically being with our friends. (See the answers from Instagram on my “Quarantine wish” saved story, and Twitter’s answers here.)
Please share with me: What are you most looking forward to when quarantine ends?
I know we’re all experiencing disruption in our lives right now, some much more than others. If you are dealing with illness or death in your circle, or loss of income, or myriad other serious losses and stresses during this time, I’m sorry, and I’m thinking of and holding space for you.
No matter our individual circumstances, we are all in this together, and we could all use the uplifting experience of remembering that this too shall pass, and there are many things to look forward to, hopefully sooner than later. Shine some light on that hope with me today.
Some things I’m most looking forward to: Spending a long, lazy spring day picnicking in Prospect Park. Dancing the night away in a gay bar with all of my friends. Traveling. Seeing the summer fashion light up the streets in Brooklyn. Having a really indulgent dinner out. Walking the High Line. Walking over to the Grand Army Plaza Farmers Market on a Saturday morning, picking up some fresh produce, and eating a juicy peach on my warm walk home through the park.
